Background: When data is transmitted by encoding it in the amplitude of signal, such as Amplitude Shift Keying, receiver makes a decision on observing received signal. Objective: Depending level has to decode data, with minimum probability error. For binary transmission, this achieved choosing threshold. Methods: A threshold detection mechanism evaluated paper, which uses parametric distribution fitting Results: Based our earlier work visible light communication, idea extended fiber optic channel and found that channel, value obtained Rayleigh results error approaching zero.
